Meet the Alchemist

I’m John Hackney, aka the wing wizard, aka the sauce sorcerer, aka the person behind The Flavor Alchemist. I’ve always been drawn to spicy food and the kind of cooking that brings people together. Some of this started in my own kitchen, making sauces for friends and bbqs, the rest was inspired by the wing restaurant I owned years ago. 


The Flavor Alchemist is just an extension of that. Small-batch sauces, made with intention, built around balance as much as heat. I’m not trying to make something generic, I want each bottle to feel like something I’d be proud to put on the table for people I care about.
